Overview:

West Anaheim Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our ICU team. As an unlicensed assistive person, you will assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

You will be responsible for assisting with patient care activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.

The current compensation range for this role is $19.89 to $26.76. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.

Responsibilities:

The Certified Nursing Assistant in the ICU Department will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
  • Providing basic nursing care to non-critical patients, such as taking vital signs and assisting with medication administration.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste.
  • Providing emotional support to patients and their families, including answering questions and addressing concerns.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
  • A current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.
