The Shop Foreman plays a crucial role in the success of our team at the Midwest Peterbilt Group. As a seasoned professional in heavy-duty truck repair, you will be responsible for overseeing the diagnosis and repair of medium and heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the activities of mechanics in the diagnosis and repair of medium and heavy-duty trucks.
  • Train mechanics in mechanical skills needed to excel in their roles.
  • Recommend equipment, materials, supplies, and parts required to repair medium and heavy-duty trucks.
  • Monitor warranty procedures followed by technicians to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance of service equipment to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
  • Review performance of mechanics and submit reports to the Service Manager to drive team improvement.
  • Assist the Service Manager in hiring and firing employees to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Assist the Service Manager and Service Advisor in answering customer inquiries to provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • Diploma from a Technical College or equivalent experience required.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills required.
  • 2 years' experience in heavy-duty truck repair.
  • CDL preferred.
