Job Title: Stylist

Our salon in Alpine is seeking a talented and experienced Hair Stylist/Cosmetologist to deliver exceptional haircuts and hairstyles to our discerning clientele. As a member of our supportive team, you will enjoy a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to grow with our upscale salon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome clients and identify their preferences through thoughtful questioning
  • Recommend hairstyles and haircuts tailored to individual face shapes and tastes
  • Provide expert hair care services, including washing, rinsing, and drying, using suitable shampoos and conditioners
  • Cut, trim, and shave hair using professional equipment
  • Apply a range of hair coloring techniques, including highlights, ombre, and balayage
  • Create stylish hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails, and buns
  • Apply hair treatment products as needed, such as color protection creams and hydrating masks
  • Build strong relationships with loyal clients and remember their hairstyle preferences
  • Manage bookings and serve walk-ins efficiently
  • Maintain the tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools as required
  • Cross-sell hair care products or services when appropriate
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colorist, or similar role
  • Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods using hot irons and curlers
  • Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques
  • Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts suitable for all hair lengths, including braids and top knots
  • Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, such as keratin smoothing
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work in shifts
  • Valid license from a cosmetology school
