Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments of patient conditions.
- Formulate and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Exhibit leadership qualities by guiding and supporting team members in delivering high-quality nursing care.
- Supervise both licensed and unlicensed nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care standards.
- Adapt to varying shift patterns, including weekends and holidays, to maintain continuity of care.
Educational Requirements:
Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory.
Essential Skills:
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations. Strong verbal communication skills are essential for articulating nursing concepts and practices. The RN must possess a sense of responsibility and accountability in delivering, delegating, and coordinating nursing care, complemented by leadership capabilities. A solid understanding of nursing processes, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, is required to cater to the diverse patient population.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Licensure: A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama is required.
