Emerging Leader

We are seeking an Emerging Leader to join our team at Pipestone (Emp Serv LLC). As an Emerging Leader, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and take on new challenges in our agricultural swine environment.

• Learn and develop individual and leadership skills to access leadership positions in the farm and company
• Work with area employees and farm management to achieve production targets and maximize efficiency
• Follow all production protocols and procedures to ensure smooth workflow and animal welfare
• Participate in bio-security audits and ensure compliance with all protocols
• Communicate effectively with area employees and farm management to ensure a safe working environment
• Monitor animal welfare procedures and provide input to lead person in area
• Complete routine maintenance and communicate non-routine repairs to lead in area
• Participate in training programs, including My Pipestone New Hire Courses, PQA, and monthly animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety topics

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience
• No experience required, but 1+ years of livestock experience with a high school diploma preferred
• Ability to work weekends and have a reliable method of transportation to get to work

The successful candidate will work in an agricultural swine environment in a rural area, with noise levels that require hearing protection in some areas. The position involves standing, walking, and being on feet for 8-10 hours per day, as well as frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.
