Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Maintenance Specialist to join our team at American StaffCorp Job Board. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our semi-trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical failures and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • System Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems on semi-trailers, including brakes, hubs, seals, bearings, and associated parts.
  • Chassis Repair: Repair or replace chassis components, such as springs, spring hangers, equalizers, slider assemblies, axles, and sub-frames.
  • Body Repair: Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors, door trim, roofs, panels, nose panels, and lower and upper rails.
  • Welding: Perform welding tasks to repair or modify trailer components.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety and health standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: While experience is preferred, it is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Possess a strong mechanical aptitude or construction experience.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Tools: Must have own tools and be able to provide them for work purposes.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, reaching, stretching, stepping, climbing, and sitting frequently throughout the day.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is essential for this position.
