- Comfortable collaborating within a team environment at project sites.
- Support estimators by quantifying construction elements using PDF plans, 2D CAD files, and 3D models. Typical scopes of work to quantify include: concrete structures, light rail trackwork, mass earthworks, roadways, highways, aviation, facilities site work, and underground utilities.
- Capable of generating earthwork volumes from PDF plans or 3D models, employing end area volume methods.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to develop spreadsheets that calculate, compare, and summarize construction material quantities.
- Review contract documents, including drawings and specifications, with an understanding of the scope of work, project constraints, construction tolerances, and various material types.
- Conduct takeoffs using partially complete or in-progress design documents, demonstrating the ability to visualize the general intent of incomplete drawings.
- Coordinate with other takeoff personnel to facilitate timely takeoff and quantity comparison of a project's construction components.
- Maintain adherence to schedules and assess the level of effort required to complete tasks.
- Keep organized records, working drawings, and takeoff summaries.
- Identify missing design elements or overlaps in work areas with other disciplines.
- Create exhibits for review purposes, illustrating takeoff assumptions and communicating inclusions or exclusions from quantity takeoffs.

Compensation: $42.00 per hour
