Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of concrete to project sites. The successful candidate will have a valid CDL and excellent driving record, as well as knowledge of the delivery area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver concrete to customers as specified on delivery tickets and maintain accurate records.
  • Understand the properties of concrete and take necessary precautions to ensure safe handling and delivery.
  • Perform pre and post inspections of the truck and maintain Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs).
  • Take the most expeditious route to delivery sites and notify dispatch of any safety concerns.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with two years of front discharge experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and excellent driving record.
  • Pass DOT drug screen and maintain DOT physical card.
  • Knowledge of delivery area.

Working Conditions:

  • Work involves lifting of material and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Use of safety equipment including eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hats.
  • Loose fitting clothes, jewelry, or shorts are not permitted.
