  • The role involves recommending improvements or upgrades to equipment to enhance operations and reliability.">
  • Interpreting and understanding electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation.">
  • Effectively communicating, both written and orally, with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.">
  • Actively participating in plant safety and quality initiatives.">
  • Assisting in the development and adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and production procedures and policies.">
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components, including rotating equipment, variable frequency drives, motor controls, switchgear, and battery systems.">
  • Applying standard electrical work practices and guidelines, including those from the National Fire Protection Association (NEC) and IEEE, to ensure code-compliant and high-quality electrical systems.">
  • Collaborating as part of a team or working independently to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical power and control systems, including process control component repairs.">
  • Utilizing standard electrical testing equipment, such as voltmeters, Trex, 475 Heart communicators, and process meters.">
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing equipment and instruments, and demonstrating a solid understanding of AD/DC circuit theory.">
  • Participating in plant safety programs and maintaining a strong focus on safety.">
  • Displaying strong mechanical skills and proficiency with manual and powered tools, with the ability to plan and execute tasks effectively.">
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office applications and exhibiting strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.">

About You

  • ">
  • We require at least two years of industrial experience.">
  • Ability to travel up to 3 weeks at a time with return trips home.">
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.">
  • Ability to make informed decisions with limited information and demonstrate creativity and flexibility.">
  • Excellent mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and the capability to plan tasks.">
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders.">
  • Proficiency in plant electrical systems, including motor controls and voltage levels ranging from 24 VDC to 480AC.">
  • Familiarity with various electrical classifications, including Class I Division I, and Class II Division 1 & II.">
  • Basic computer skills and a knowledge of production plant equipment and their interaction with process controls and instrumentation.">
  • Ability and willingness to travel for training as required.">

  • Ability to walk up to two miles during the workday over uneven surfaces, including railroad tracks.">
