GPAC is working with a leading company in the food and beverage industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their customers. This company seeks a dynamic and experienced Food Manufacturing Operations Director to lead their engineering operations.

The Plant Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering function within the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient operations, maximizing productivity, and supporting the maintenance and optimization of plant equipment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the plant's engineering team, including engineers and maintenance personnel.
  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to maximize plant uptime.
  • Overseeing capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitoring plant performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Managing vendor relationships and equipment purchases, including negotiating contracts.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, and production) to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Leading root cause analysis for equipment failures and implementing corrective actions.
  • Championing continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on operational excellence and cost savings.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • 7+ years of experience in plant engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing management within the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale capital projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of food manufacturing processes, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations, GMP, and HACCP standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $155,000 - $175,000 annually, along with an aggressive annual bonus structure based on performance.
