Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardio Thoracic ICU RN to join our team at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. This 13-week contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardio Thoracic ICU
  • Manage arterial lines, blood products, and central lines
  • Administer medications, including cardiac drips and vasoactive medications
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a CVICU/CTICU
  • Travel experience preferred
  • EPIC proficiency required
  • Strong neuro experience and ability to work with post-brain surgery patients
  • Ability to work with a variety of cardiac patients, including those with CABG, IABP, and Impella
Work Schedule

3x12 or 4x12 shifts, nights 7pm-7:30am, weekdays, EOW, float, and holidays within contract. 48-hour contract with OT available after 48 hours.
