Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Safety Manager to join our team at Andersen. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing site safety programs to ensure continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and alignment with operations objectives and Enterprise Safety/Health guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Coordinate and develop site safety programs to ensure continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and alignment with operations objectives and Enterprise Safety/Health guidelines.
  • Manage Safety Projects: Manage projects and programs tied to the annual plan that lead to successful site safety performance outcomes, including reduced work-related injuries/illnesses and associated costs.
  • Provide Oversight and Training: Provide oversight of staff and site program execution in 1-2 other areas such as Environmental, Health Services, or Workers Comp admin (area of supervision may vary by site).
  • Conduct Safety Evaluations: Conduct safety evaluations (e.g. audits, inspections, accident investigations, etc.) with site management and assist in the execution of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Site Leadership: Work with site leadership and manufacturing engineering to conduct safety assessments of new or modified equipment/processes in accordance with Andersens Safety Assessment Procedure.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field or Masters degree in Environmental Health & Safety preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Safety Management experience supporting a large site &700+ people or larger with multiple locations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge/experience of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI code regulations and compliance.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of successfully delivering outstanding results.
  • Communication Skills: Well-versed in safety committee processes and methodologies with the ability to adapt accordingly to the needs of the business. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Management: Experience managing a team of site safety specialists, safety technicians or occupational health specialists.
  • Leadership Influence: Ability to manage & influence leaders and teams across multiple locations and drive performance results.
  • Communication and Presentation: Ability to prepare and present to all levels of the organization.
  • Matrixed Organization Experience: Experience managing in matrixed organizations.
