Job Title: Overnight Production Supervisor

Sika AG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Overnight Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of the production shift to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure profitable production goals and quality standards are met while staying within budget limitations.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and utilization, consulting with Engineering and Maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Organize and cross-train worker teams for maximum production flexibility.
  • Provide input in establishing production and quality control standards.
  • Assist in coordinating and executing production trials and process improvement projects through team project management.
  • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess, analyze, and track manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure implementation and evolution of safety guidelines and procedures, conducting monthly safety meetings and overseeing safety-related training.
  • Provide input to the Production Manager on developing budget and plant cost controls.
  • Monitor every stage of production, analyzing current methods and developing new ways to save steps, time, and materials to reduce costs.
  • Coordinate the hiring and training of all shift production personnel.
  • Responsible for shift production workforce performance, fully engaging the workforce and promoting personal accountability through ongoing feedback and regular coaching.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, chemical, or related field preferred or 2+ years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility with technical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to function in a team-driven organization using matrix management.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance.
  • Experience in budgeting, capital equipment analysis, cost accounting, and project cost analysis.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.
