Quality Control Raw Material Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW
The role involves supporting the administration of quality laboratory operations at a designated site, ensuring compliance with ISO, FDA QSR, and internal policies.
Under direct supervision, the technician will execute Quality Control assessments according to established specifications utilizing analytical tools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of laboratory glassware and containers.
- Oversee and maintain laboratory instruments, including calibration processes.
- Prepare media and reagents for testing.
- Perform routine testing on products and raw materials.
- Identify raw materials and components requiring sampling through the ERP system, ensuring timely and safe sample collection per established protocols.
- Collect water samples as outlined in procedural documentation.
- Document test results accurately and inform the Supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Execute transactions in the ERP system related to raw materials and finished products, determining material status as directed by the Supervisor/Manager.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Assist in laboratory upkeep, including instrument calibration, preparation of testing standards, and disposal of expired or unused materials.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree preferred.
Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education: a minimum of 3 years relevant laboratory testing experience in a regulated environment (e.g., FDA/ISO13485) is required.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Laboratory setting with potential exposure to chemicals.
