Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive speech language therapy services tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing the Developmental Language Model and DIR Floortime principles.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families to enhance student support and learning experiences.
  • Facilitate group and individual interventions, including support during lunch and recess.
  • Assist in the integration of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices as necessary.
  • Engage in reflective practices to enhance therapeutic approaches and outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Illinois Speech Language Pathologist License.
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder across various developmental stages.
  • Strong understanding of language development and a commitment to developmental language thinking.
  • Interactive and engaging communication style with a focus on building meaningful connections with students.
