Job Overview

EV Construction is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Management Intern to join our team for the summer of 2025. This internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of construction project management, working closely with our experienced project managers and field engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day activities of the project manager and field manager, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Support the project team in the field, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Update and maintain project documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare for and participate in coordination meetings, effectively communicating with stakeholders.
  • Assist in the assembly, organization, and execution of trade contractor change orders.
  • Support preconstruction efforts for projects, participating in bid teams as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate the RFI process, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
  • Assist in the management and coordination of the Submittal process, maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Support self-perform trades on projects, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate overall schedule updates and look-ahead scheduling with the field team.
  • Participate in applicable project Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings (OAC).
  • Engage with field and executive leadership through job shadowing and interviews, gaining valuable insights and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Construction Management Bachelor's program at an accredited college or university.
  • Basic understanding of how to read plans and specifications (CSI Masterformat) is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to actively listen, communicate effectively, and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Prior work experience in coordinating or managing projects is preferred.
