Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team for a 13-week contract in Waterville, Maine. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various equipment, including MRI machines. Your primary goal will be to ensure that patients receive high-quality images while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, such as MRI scans, under the supervision of a radiologist or other qualified healthcare professional.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort during the procedure.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results.

Requirements:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences or a related field is required;
- Current certification as an MRI technologist (MRCT) or registered technologist (RT(R)) is mandatory;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for working effectively with patients, colleagues, and medical staff;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other relevant software is preferred;
