Pipefitter Specialist

Industrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for fitting stainless steel pipe for tig welders, requiring at least 5 years of experience in the field.

• Read and understand P&ID's and isometric drawings to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Layout, fabricate, and install pipe spools from spool sheets, ensuring accurate measurements and timely completion.
• Flame cut pipe to length and bevel, clean and prepare pipe for fit-up, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Perform layout, rigging, and transportation of pipe, valves, and fittings, utilizing manual, pneumatic, and electric tools as needed.
• Thread pipe using threading machines, bending pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines, and plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers.
• Properly select and use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks, hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane, and use proper hand signals with heavy equipment operators.
• Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies, and properly test piping systems for leaks by the correct use of hydro-testing equipment.
• Secure pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools, and help maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Minimum of 3 years Pipefitting experience in Industrial or Petrochemical setting.
• NCCER certification a plus, with knowledge of industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
• May be required to pass a craft test, demonstrating proficiency in pipefitting skills and knowledge.
