Salary: $14.50 - $19.50 Hourly

About the Job:

This position involves active supervision of youth residing on our campus for treatment. To succeed in this role, you should embody a positive and compassionate attitude, demonstrate effective communication skills, and have a desire to work with youth who exhibit behavioral and/or emotional issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement decisions from supervisors or managers within your chain of command.
  • Provide a positive role model for clients at all times through appearance, attitude, and behavior.
  • Attend all required in-services, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Work harmoniously and effectively with co-workers.
  • Achieve objectives and consistently produce satisfactory work.
  • Maintain faithfulness in reporting to work, staying on the job, and helping to meet institutional emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comply with department guidelines, organizational policies, and expectations set by Gibault's administration.
  • Develop and implement programs for clients in your area of responsibility.
  • Transport clients to various locations for appointments, meetings, outings, etc.
  • Provide leadership, direction, encouragement, and coaching to clients throughout the campus and in their assigned living unit.
  • Enforce organizational and group living policies, procedures, and rules through the use of various treatment tools in accordance with the client disciplinary action policy.
  • Plan and facilitate recreation, leisure activities, and special events within your assigned living unit.
  • Communicate treatment and pertinent administrative issues to Clinical Services Therapists, Supervisors, and Administration.
  • Supervise the daily cleaning and organization of the assigned living unit to maintain compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a member of the Unit Treatment Team within the assigned living unit.
  • Complete Cornell University's Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completed High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Pass all required background checks.
