Lead Information Security Analyst

Position Overview
This role is situated within the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The OCISO is dedicated to steering the vision, leadership, and governance of information security, cybersecurity, and privacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate policies, programs, and frameworks for effective implementation.
- Foster awareness of security and privacy protocols among leadership, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and objectives.
- Evaluate adherence to security and privacy standards set by governmental regulatory bodies and frameworks.
- Participate in audits of cybersecurity initiatives and projects.
- Stay informed about industry advancements impacting technical infrastructure.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare complex, politically sensitive documentation, including management white papers, trend analyses, and briefing materials for senior management.
Employment Conditions
- A Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Completion of Financial Disclosure may be necessary.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience may be acquired in both public and private sectors, including volunteer roles.
- Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the 14 grade level or higher in federal service, focusing on developing information security and privacy policies, leading IT audits, and assessing compliance with regulatory requirements.

Additional Information
If selected, candidates may be required to serve a probationary period. Salary for this position is capped at $252,500. The selected individual will be expected to report to their duty station office on a part-time basis.
