Job Summary

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all guests during their stay at Highgate Hotels. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all guests in accordance with Highgate Hotel standards.
  • Manage the front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, and room assignments.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Review and maintain the front office log and trace file daily.
  • Stay up-to-date on hotel services, facilities, and promotions to provide guests with accurate information.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
