Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist, your primary duties will include:
  • Leading the installation of new machinery and modifications to processes, ensuring all activities meet established requirements.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of equipment specifications, including purchasing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Performing design modifications and reviews to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engaging in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment issues.
  • Championing workplace safety and health initiatives within the Process Development section.
  • Managing and reducing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) effectively.
  • Ensuring that all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required specifications.
  • Reviewing vendor contracts and assessing contractor performance.
  • Conducting audits of vendor service performance to ensure quality standards.
  • Collaborating with the headquarters technical team to drive process improvements and resolve equipment challenges.
  • Developing, reviewing, and delivering training on the company's engineering standards.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
Essential:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an E&I Engineer in a chemical manufacturing environment (3 years for degree holders).
  • Proven experience in servicing and troubleshooting various motorized equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles related to materials and applications.
Preferred:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Certification in high-pressure equipment.
