About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Anesthesia Specialist to join our team at Sunnybrook Dentistry & Braces - a Benevis company. As a key member of our dental anesthesia team, you will provide specialized care to pediatric patients during office-based surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Pediatric Dentists to ensure effective patient management and comfort, particularly for those with dental anxiety or special needs.
  • Provide high-level anesthesia care to children and young adults, ensuring their experiences with dental healthcare are positive and impactful.
  • Work alongside Pediatric Dentists to optimize patient cooperation through skilled anesthetic administration and airway management.
  • Focus on patients who require more than local anesthesia, such as children with dental anxiety, pediatric patients, or those with specific physical or cognitive disabilities.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency
  • Licensure and Certifications: Current, valid medical or dental license in good standing; Required certifications include PALS, BLS, DEA, etc.
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated capability in anesthesia delivery, including intravenous deep sedation and general anesthesia
  • Collaborative Approach: Ability to work closely with dental teams, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
