Job Summary

The Texas Juvenile Justice Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Dorm Supervisor I - Team Leader-State Services. This position is responsible for supervising an assigned dorm's youth development coaches, overseeing and evaluating the dorm's daily operations and programming activities involving youth and staff, and leading and developing the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of youth development coaches
  • Oversee and evaluate the dorm's daily operations and programming activities
  • Lead and develop the team to achieve program goals and objectives
  • Provide training and technical assistance to coaches
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate measures to maintain a safe residential setting
  • Participate in activities related to facility compliance with TJJD policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2 years of experience working with juveniles in a residential setting
  • 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead position
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be certified as a Texas Model Champion or be able to obtain certification within 6 months
