Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at South County Mental Health Center. As a key member of our inpatient psychiatric nursing team, you will provide high-quality care to clients in crisis, with the goal of stabilization and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication and educate clients on their treatment plans.
  • Provide one-to-one care and lead groups on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and substance abuse.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living and promote wellness within the family unit.
  • Complete nursing physical assessments and monitor clients' somatic complaints.
  • Develop treatment plans with clients and monitor their progress.
  • Initiate and record restraint and seclusion processes, as needed.
Requirements
  • RN licensed in Florida.
  • 1 year of experience in psychiatric nursing.
  • Knowledge of client rights, Baker Act, confidentiality regulations, and abuse regulations.
  • Knowledge of medications and side effects, risk of addiction, bloodborne pathogens, and OSHA Standards.
