Key Responsibilities of the Cashier

  • Accurately calculate customer bills using the dealership's computer system.
  • Process payments from customers via cash, checks, and credit cards, ensuring proper documentation on repair orders or counter tickets.
  • Provide change accurately and issue receipts to customers.
  • Answer incoming calls and guide customers to the correct department, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Address customer complaints with diplomacy and refer issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Operate the switchboard telephone system efficiently.
  • Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner, minimizing hold times.
  • Assist management with various clerical tasks as required.
  • Maintain a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Familiarize yourself with departmental structures and internal procedures to assist customers effectively.

Qualifications for the Cashier Position

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to effectively communicate customer needs and requests to management and sales teams.
  • Professional appearance is essential.
  • Possession of a clean driving record and a valid Driver's License.
