Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform geotechnical engineering and geological analyses, including calculations and data interpretation.
  • Prepare and write comprehensive engineering reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Conduct field explorations, collect samples, and perform geologic reconnaissance and mapping.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and staff to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Support marketing activities, including cost proposal preparation.
  • Adhere to Shannon & Wilson's Quality Assurance policy and promote Health and Safety and Loss Prevention practices.
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil Engineering and MS or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • 0-6 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Engineer-in-Training Certificate or in process of obtaining.
  • On track to obtain Professional Engineering (PE) License.
  • Experience in soil mechanics, rock mechanics, rock and soil slope stability, shallow and deep foundations, tunneling, microtunneling, seismic design, earthquake engineering, and retaining structures.
  • Knowledge or experience in field/construction observation, including logging geotechnical explorations, observation of pile driving operations, and installation and recording of geotechnical instrumentation.
