We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist I to join our team at the State of California. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in promoting rational and cost-effective drug therapy through close participation in the drug therapy decision-making process with assigned physicians and other medical personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical pharmacy services using approved protocols in collaboration with other health professionals, including managing patient drug therapy, and providing patient education.
- Under indirect supervision, compound prescriptions and stock pharmaceutical preparations, and supervise the work of others.
- Keep records and prepare reports, and analyze situations accurately and take effective action.
- Assimilate and provide information on drugs and their actions, and effectively contribute to the department's affirmative action objectives.
- Knowledge of compounding of prescriptions and stock pharmaceutical preparations, drugs, chemicals, and pharmaceutical supplies required in the operation of a dispensary, laws pertaining to dispensing and use of narcotics and poisons, principles of effective supervision, and department's Affirmative Action Program objectives.
- Ability to compound prescriptions and stock pharmaceutical preparations, supervise the work of others, keep records and prepare reports, analyze situations accurately and take effective action, assimilate and provide information on drugs and their actions, and effectively contribute to the department's affirmative action objectives.
