About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse who has a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Applying appropriate nursing skills in the assessment and treatment of inmates/residents.
  • Attending sick call with the physician to see inmates/residents, preparing a list of inmates/residents to be examined, and preparing the examining room and equipment.
  • Examining and assessing new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries, or inmates/residents who become ill or injured, and referring them to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facilities as required by their condition.
  • Performing emergency procedures as needed and notifying the Licensed Independent Provider for treatment orders.
  • Providing guidance, supervising, and monitoring nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited college, university, or nursing program.
  • Current licensure in the state of employment.
  • One (1) year of professional nursing experience preferred.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
