Nurse Supervisor Job Description

Birmingham Green is seeking a skilled Nurse Supervisor to join our team. As a Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of nursing care, ensuring that residents receive the care that has been identified to meet their health care needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
  • Assure that residents receive high-quality care that meets their individual needs.
  • Be responsible for the entire facility in the absence of senior management staff.
Requirements:
  • Current unencumbered RN license.
  • CPR certification.
  • Five years of experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience related to the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the elderly.
  • Knowledge of current nursing techniques, federal and state nursing home regulations, and experience in regulatory surveys, resident assessments, and recertification.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of supervisory experience.
