Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Staten Island University Hospital. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a mammography unit to produce high-quality images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients to the procedure room and explain the procedure and positioning requirements.
  • Review physician requests for mammography procedures and identify patients according to department policy.
  • Obtain patient history and document findings.
  • Maintain clean technique and operate mammography and tomography machines.
  • Evaluate quality assurance performance and monitor performance of mammography and images.
Requirements
  • Two-year degree in Mammography Technology.
  • One year of experience as an Interventional Mammography Technician in a healthcare setting.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
