Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified RN or LPN Substitute to provide high-quality healthcare services to our preschool students. As a Substitute Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care with respect for human dignity and the uniqueness of each client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health care services to preschool students with respect for human dignity and the uniqueness of the client.
  • Exercise informed judgment and use individual competence and qualifications as criteria in seeking consultation, accepting responsibilities, and delegating nursing activities to others.
  • Meet the Standards of School Nursing Practice as established by the National Association of School Nurses and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
  • Have experience with tracheostomy care, which is highly desirable.
  • Hold a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse or LPN in Massachusetts (M.G.L. c.71, s.53) and maintain certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and First Aid from a recognized provider.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree, which is preferred.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of employment as an RN or LPN in a relevant clinical nursing setting.
  • Prior experience working in an educational setting is desirable.
Requirements
  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
