About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Associate to join our team at Southeast LBM Holdco LLC. This is a full-time position responsible for handling counter sales, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell lumber and related materials to customers, ensuring they find the perfect products for their projects.
  • Provide support and assistance to DIY customers, helping them navigate our extensive product range.
  • Handle telephone and email inquiries from customers, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate customer deliveries as needed, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Create accurate sales tickets and enter all information into our computer system, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate the cash register and balance the drawer daily, adhering to strict financial procedures.
  • Maintain shelf and floor stock levels, working closely with the purchasing team to ensure adequate inventory in the stockroom.
  • Ensure the sales floor remains attractive, orderly, and safe, upholding our company's standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of work experience, with some sales experience preferred.
  • A working knowledge of lumber and building materials, including their applications and benefits.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness.
  • High school diploma or equivalency, with a strong foundation in mathematics and problem-solving.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • This role involves working primarily in an office environment, with occasional exposure to warehouse conditions.
  • The physical demands of this position include sitting frequently, standing rarely, and lifting up to 20 pounds using safe techniques.
Estimated Salary and Benefits
