POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for generating MRI scans under the clinical oversight of a Radiologist. Ensures a secure environment for patients and engages in various essential tasks to support departmental functions.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Requirements: Must be ARRT certified, have completed a formal training program in MRI Technology, and possess AART-MRI certification or obtain it within six months. BLS certification is also required.
Preferred Qualifications: An Associate Degree in Radiography is advantageous.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: The incumbent should exhibit the ability to apply age-appropriate communication and technical practices relevant to patients across all age groups, including neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
Furthermore, the individual must demonstrate proficiency in operating equipment and executing procedures before being permitted to work independently.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Supervisory Responsibilities: None. May offer guidance and support to radiography students and new staff during training.
May provide feedback regarding technical skills but holds no authority over personnel decisions.
Reports To: Radiologist(s) for clinical guidance and Supervisor, CT/MRI for operational and administrative matters.
