About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Development Engineer to join our Billing and Subscriptions team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and updating functionality for our Ring Billing and Subscription services using reusable, test-driven & efficient code.

You will advance the architecture of the application, develop highly scalable systems & APIs to support a growing business, engage with internal and external stakeholders to lead technical discussions, analyze feasibility, and provide estimates. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to improve the user experience by researching and incorporating new capabilities to increase efficiency.

You will own the operation excellence, tech debt & security roadmap for the team, prioritizing and delivering working closely with Product teams. Furthermore, you will mentor team members to build scalable and maintainable solutions by leading design reviews, performing code reviews, and participating in defect analysis/RCA.

A Day in the Life

As a Full Stack Software Development Engineer on our team, your day will consist of building new features, providing maintenance, support, and enhancements, creating documentation, owning the team's platform, interacting with other Ring and/or Amazon engineering teams, and working closely with Product teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
Estimated Salary Range: $175,000 - $225,000 per year
