Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a DHMT (Medical Technician) and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
- Perform thorough health assessments, diagnose complex illnesses, and provide therapeutic interventions.
- Use critical thinking skills and evidence-based standards of practice to ensure quality care.
- Accurately document patient encounters and maintain accurate records.
- Analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange follow-up care for patients.
- Educate patients and families on managing their health and well-being.
- Navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Identify and solve problems proactively.
- Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics.
- Provide care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in acute care settings.
- Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Current registration in the state of Florida as an Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, preferred.
- Nationally board certified, current.
- Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred.
- Prescriptive authority and DEA.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends.
