Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revenue Cycle Senior Billing Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the billing and collections process for our Hospice Division, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bills for all payer sources, including direct patient care and ancillary supplies, covering multiple branch locations in a specific geographic region.
- Complete cash transmittal for cash received, instructing Central Support Cash Application Reps on method of payment and mailing cash to the lockbox.
- Identify accounts/invoices and determine where to post cash, photocopying all applicable checks and filing copies/applicable account forms.
- Monitor, trace, and correct billing errors, ensuring corrected invoices are processed and generated to ensure correct billing and receiving.
- Respond to billing inquiries from branch offices, insurance companies, and other staff, providing guidance on billing procedures, contract billing requirements, and potential collections problems.
Requirements
- 3-5 years' prior Hospice or Home Health billing and/or reimbursement experience.
- Able to manage a reasonable volume of detailed work.
- Familiar with the rules and regulations of medical billing, including CPT and ICD-10 coding protocols and procedures.
- Skilled at problem solving and account resolution.
- Able to meet or exceed financial goals set by the Company.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Homecare-Homebase experience a plus.
- Experience with DDE, E-solutions, Waystar, and/or Nthrive a plus.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
