Professor of Petroleum Engineering

This is a full-time, tenured position in the Craft & Hawkins Department of Petroleum Engineering at Louisiana State University. The successful candidate will have a part-time teaching load of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in subjects related to Petroleum Engineering.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate petroleum courses
• Lead an internationally recognized and sustainable research program, which results in procuring external funding and leads to publications in peer-reviewed journals, along with associated service in support of the research mission and reputation of the unit
• Supervise graduate student research
• Provide service to LSU, and petroleum engineering profession, and the community

The minimum qualifications for this position include a PhD in petroleum engineering or equivalent degree in chemical engineering or a loosely related field, and 11 years of experience with a record commensurate with appointment to Full Professor. The expectation is to have developed an internationally recognized, externally-funded research program on topics related to modern Petroleum Engineering.
