Logistics Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Tandym Group in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role will require regular on-site presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with remote work on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and review commercial and pro forma invoices, USDA statements, pack slips, and domestic bills of lading to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning, Quality Assurance, 3PLs, and CPOs to meet business, customer, and compliance requirements in distribution and logistics processes.
  • Work with customs brokers to ensure US Customs, FDA, USDA, and DEA compliance to prevent delays in inventory clearance for US imports.
  • Ensure compliance with CTPAT rules and regulations.
  • Organize and execute tasks in a dynamic workplace environment while balancing priorities to meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Handle issues related to hazardous shipping.
  • Oversee domestic and import transportation management.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound dedicated truck shipments to and from 3PLs.
  • Monitor and manage the SAP/ERP system to the distribution interface for 3PLs, including receipts, inventory adjustments, shipments, and returns.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory balances with the 3PL.
  • Accountable for documentation review and auditing retention.
Requirements:
  • Associates or undergraduate degree in Logistics (preferred); or relevant experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in global logistics and trade compliance required.
  • 2+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry highly preferred.
  • Import/export certification training preferred.
  • Hazardous shipping experience; certification a plus.
  • SAP warehouse management module proficiency.
  • Experience with Trade Compliance laws and regulations, specifically around FDA, USDA, and US Customs regulations.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Incoterms, harmonized tariff codes, US Customs import regulations, FDA product codes, and US Customs' record keeping requirements.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor while working cross-functionally with internal and external business partners.
  • Flexible and responsive.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently using verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • High level of detail orientation and accuracy in work; ability to meet deadlines.
