We are seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter to facilitate communication between Deaf and hard of hearing individuals and hearing colleagues at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret spoken language to sign language and vice versa in academic settings.
- Provide accurate and effective interpretation services to ensure equal access to education.
- Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to provide high-quality interpretation services.
- Certification by Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) is preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience as a sign language interpreter, preferably in a post-secondary educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf culture.
