Position Purpose

We seek dependable and friendly individuals to cultivate enduring relationships with our clientele in our retail location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a strong rapport with new customers while nurturing existing relationships.
  • Oversee store inventory and presentation through stocking, merchandising, and cleanliness.
  • Perform basic racquet preparation and maintenance, including stringing and other racquet services.
Customer Service Duties
  • Welcome customers with warmth and hospitality throughout their shopping experience.
  • Provide comprehensive assistance to all customers in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of company policies, procedures, products, and services.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, striving to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Engage in inventory management and store appearance through proactive stocking and cleaning.
  • Assist colleagues during peak times and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Commit to continuous learning and skill development relevant to the role.
  • Utilize available resources to address product inquiries.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding customer issues as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required for the daily operations.
  • Participate in training sessions and provide product feedback for website use.
QualificationsEssential Skills
  • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred.
  • Knowledge and passion for tennis, pickleball, or running is advantageous.
  • Experience in stringing racquets is a plus.
  • Ability to listen attentively to customers and provide friendly service.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Team-oriented approach with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role operates within a standard retail setting, requiring frequent face-to-face interactions with customers and staff. Daily tasks involve using tablets, computers, cash registers, and related technology.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Regularly handling objects, typing, and using various technology.
  • Utilizing cash registers and credit card processors.
  • Communicating effectively to convey information clearly.
  • Observing details at close range.
  • Standing for extended periods and moving throughout the store.
  • Using hands and arms for racquet stringing tasks.
  • Occasionally bending, twisting, or reaching.
  • Lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
