Communicable Disease Management Specialist Job Description:

Metro Nashville Government is seeking a qualified public health nurse to join our team as a communicable disease management specialist.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating TB case management services, including nurse case management and directly observed therapy. They will also be involved in developing and implementing quality assurance activities to ensure effective TB case management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate TB case management services, including nurse case management and directly observed therapy.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance activities to ensure effective TB case management.
  • Collaborate with the program director to develop clinical policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a state-approved school of nursing.
  • Two years of nursing experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Valid class D driver's license and use of personal vehicle on the job.
