Hofstra University, a premier educational institution on Long Island, New York, is seeking an exceptional Assistant Softball Coach to join its esteemed Women's Softball program. As a key member of the coaching staff, the successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the program's success through the development of student-athletes' skills and performance, as well as contributing to recruitment and retention efforts.

- Key responsibilities include:">
- Collaborating with the Head Softball Coach to develop and implement effective player development strategies, focusing on proper technique instruction, advanced skill training, and competition strategy analysis;">
- Recruiting and evaluating talented student-athletes and prospective students, ensuring the program maintains a strong competitive edge;">
- Overseeing various aspects of the program, including skill development, recruitment, travel schedules, academic enhancement, equipment management, alumnae events, camps/clinics, fundraisers, practice preparation, and administrative duties;">
- Designing and implementing comprehensive plans for alumnae contacts and Alumnae Day operations;">
- Developing, coordinating, and executing camps and clinics that foster growth and development among student-athletes;">
- Maintaining effective communication channels with university departments, staff, and student-athletes, promoting a positive and supportive team environment;">
- Promoting the program through public relations activities, community outreach programs, marketing initiatives, and other related duties assigned by the Head Coach, Associate Head Coach, and/or Athletic Director.">
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have at least 1-3 years of Division I coaching experience, demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills, and be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree or higher is preferred. If you are a visionary coach who can inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential, we encourage you to apply.
