Job Summary

The Inpatient Unit (IPU) at Carle Health is committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients and their families. As a Health Care Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our nursing staff and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the maintenance of unit supplies and ensure the smooth function of the unit
  • Collect and document patient data as directed by the Registered Nurse
  • Perform or assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, vital signs, and meal trays
  • Complete and document basic patient care independently, including but not limited to baths, vital signs, and meal trays
  • Maintain patient safety as the highest priority level, ensuring compliance with safety measures such as fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, and isolation precautions
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of CNA coursework within the past 24 months, or successful completion of Carle's HCT In-Training Program, or work experience as a CNA within the past 24 months, or successful completion of at least one semester of nursing clinical experiences, or documented relevant medical military training
