Job Title: Foster Care Case Manager

Samaritas is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Foster Care Case Manager to join our team in Detroit. As a Foster Care Case Manager, you will play a vital role in providing social work and case management services to assigned cases, ensuring the well-being and safety of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume primary responsibility for all cases on assigned caseload, providing a range of case management services, including social casework, engagement, mentoring, and community referral.
  • Collect, assess, and document appropriate data and client progress, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with referral sources, agencies, institutions, and individuals who have pertinent roles in client's life situation.
  • Prepare for and attend all scheduled court hearings on assigned caseload.
  • Take primary responsibility for intake and initial placement services for all newly referred cases.
  • Coordinate placement arrangements with caregivers, including transportation of children as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human service field.
  • Licensed by the State of Michigan preferred.
  • One year experience in child welfare, preferred.
  • Unrestricted valid driver's license with good driving record and reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served.

  • Competitive salary range of $43,888.00 to $44,720.00.
