Transportation Specialist

This role requires a highly responsible individual to provide safe and reliable transportation services to students. The successful candidate will drive a school bus, interact with children, parents, teachers, and other employees, maintain accurate records, inspect the vehicle regularly, and report any incidents.

Compensation Package

The salary for this position is $19.04-$21.04 per hour, commensurate with experience. This is a temporary contract position, 176 days per year, with 6-8 hours of work per day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a school bus safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance, disciplinary actions, and bus maintenance.
  • Inspect the bus daily to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any incidents or accidents promptly.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • An Acceptable Annual Motor Vehicle Record.
  • A Current Bus Driver's Certificate.
  • A Class B CDL w/Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement.
