The Custodial Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the school premises. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks and requires attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors, as well as dusting and sanitizing furniture and fixtures.
  2. Ensure restrooms are kept clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  3. Assist in moving and arranging furniture as needed.
  4. Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety regulations.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of entrance areas and windows.
  6. Utilize and care for cleaning equipment effectively.
  7. Stay informed about the proper cleaning methods and materials.
  8. Collaborate with fellow custodial staff and school personnel to promote a clean and safe environment.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
  10. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to management.
  11. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the School Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in custodial services.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to operate cleaning machinery and tools.

This position requires a dedicated individual who values cleanliness and safety within the educational environment.
