Internship Description:

We are excited to offer a credit-based internship for a Sales Intern who will assist in providing administrative support across our domestic trade, special sales, and international sales teams. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in weekly discussions within the Sales department and attend occasional inter-departmental meetings focused on marketing, publicity, production, editorial acquisitions, and the launch of seasonal titles. This internship is an excellent chance for individuals interested in gaining insights into both domestic and international book sales, as well as an introduction to the publishing industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparations for sales conferences and trade exhibitions.
  • Retrieve, verify, and organize title metadata from various internal systems.
  • Update title information in seasonal catalogs.
  • Compile title materials and prepare PowerPoint presentations for account managers.
  • Conduct research and create mailing lists for potential accounts.
  • Manage sample orders, track purchase orders, generate inventory reports, and reserve stock.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to easily navigate new systems and databases.
  • Strong time-management skills with the capability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with design software.
