POSITION: Library Cataloging Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Library Services
SUPERVISOR TITLE: Cataloging Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Abilene
SUMMARY/SCOPE: This role involves supporting the supervisor with daily operations.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, totaling 10-12 hours weekly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting in the labeling and processing of library materials.
- Shelving books and various resources.
- Maintaining documentation related to Government Documents.
- Collecting mail from the campus Post Office.
- Performing additional tasks as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite, as well as familiarity with scanners and copiers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
