Company Overview
Integer Technologies LLC is a pioneering research and development organization focused on creating innovative solutions for complex challenges in technology and national security. Our work encompasses a wide range of projects aimed at enhancing systems for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other governmental entities, translating research into practical applications with both military and commercial relevance.
Role Overview
The position of Electrical Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer demands a robust understanding of real-time simulation techniques for electrical power systems, power converters, electric machines, and control systems. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to maintain accurate virtual models of physical systems, facilitating applications such as health monitoring, diagnostics, prognostics, and advanced control strategies. A comprehensive grasp of the multi-domain physics associated with power system components is essential.
The successful applicant will have experience with controller hardware-in-the-loop (CHIL), where a physical power system's controller executes control application code in conjunction with a real-time power system model. Additionally, familiarity with power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) testing is crucial, involving the assessment of real power hardware at full-scale power and voltage levels through the use of power amplifiers.
We seek a candidate who exhibits a strong commitment to personal and professional growth, consistently expanding their expertise to stay at the forefront of the field. Organizational skills and attention to detail are vital, as this role may require interaction with clients whose requirements are dynamic and sometimes challenging to articulate. Excellent communication skills will be advantageous.
